TWO SHOPLIFTERS CAUGHT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. "Each of the two men had a hoot under his pocket, and each told me at first that it was a bottle of beer," said a constable in tile Police Court during a shoplifting case. The accused men. .John Morgan and Thomas Murphy, were sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment for stealing a pair of boots valued at 21/6.
