AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION
ANNUAL MEETING,
At the annual meeting of the Auckland. Lawn Tennis Association, held last even.ing, the president, Mr, E. W. Griffiths, presided over a fair attendance of delegates. In moving the adoption of flic report and balance-sheet the president said that, without taking into account the proceeds from the art union funds, a slight loss had been made during the past year. This, he hoped, would be more than compensated for during the coming season by the afliliation of iiew clubs. . , ... In view of the strong financial position of Hie association it was decided_ to raise the secretary's honorarium lo £75 and to call for applications for the position. It was decided to defer the appointment of committees until the next meeting, on account of a notice of motion providing lor the appointment of a management committee. , . , „ , The following oflicers were elected : Patron His Excellency the Governor-General; president, Mr.' E. Hickson; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. Gohlie, E. W. Gnlitbs JL q Thomson, G. L. Taylor, C. C. Chalmers and F. ,1. Olilson. The appointment of an auditor was deferred.
