Ltd.. report: To-day at our weekly Westlield etock market we penned fat cattle to the number of 397 head, as compared with 571 at last Wednesday's sale, comprising ?.M steers, 173 cows and heifers. The quality generally was first-class. Competition was decidedly keener and heavy prime steers were firmer by fully IS/ per head. Extra choice ox sold to £ 1 7 per 1001b; choice and prime ox, £1 5/Q to £1 6,6: ordinary and plain ox. £1 4/ to £1 5/; prime cow and heifer beef, £1 1/ to £1 4 : ordinary cow beef, 18/ to £1: extra heavv prime steers ranged in price from £12 17/6 to £14 17/6 (the latter price was obtained for two extra special steers from Mr. 11.
