Park School, 3.30 p.m. 1 1 OPOTIKI SENIORS. j OPOTIKI, Monday. The Opojikl senior Rugby tatives defeated the Wbakatane representatives in a match at Opotikl on Saturday by 21 points to 13. Opotiki in the first half, had a good dea! the better of the gam«, and ran up 11 points to 0. In the second half Opotiki scored another try very quickly. This was converted, and made the score 16 to 0. Whakatane then opened np play, and in a brief space of time scored 13 points. Excitement ran high, as time drew near. Opotiki then scored another try, which was converted, making them the winners by _ points to 13. For Opotiki Parkinson scored two tries, Kelly one, and Craig one. Davies converted three tries and kicked a goal from a free kick, his kicking being a feature. In a junior trial match, the A team defeated the B team by IS points to 8. The Junior representatives will play the Rotorua representatives for the Shalfoon Shield next Saturday, at Opotiki. Opotiki , holds the shield.
