GISBORNE WOOL SALES.
The recent sale of wool oddments in r Gisborne attracted more buyers than auj ; previous sale in that centre, and local l business interests are satisfied that a, .. favourable atmosphere has been created y for renewing its claims to be included in, d the season's itinerary by the Wool Buyers' y Association. It is alleged that visiting Y buyers were agreeably surprised at the d excellence of the travelling facilities be-' tween Napier and Gisborne, one averring i> that he got through without a single ■'• bump, and also at the Gisborne hotel • accommodation. y ''Taking the sale as a whole," says the k Poverty Bay "Herald," '"it is considered e that Gisborne has advanced a step in the J* estimation of the woolbuyers, and if this j district had any prospects of gaining summer sales they are considerably brighter j than they were a week ago." t It is unfortunate from the point of view of the Gisborneites that the schedule for next season has already been drawn up. * and Gisborne again has not been given a T place. Woolbuyers consider their present n itinerary is much too onerous, and have t ver}' decided objection to any extension.
