About sixty delegates were present. Mr. Jas. Pascoe. president, in tlic chair. Mr. J. W. Hardley, president of the Dominion Bowling Association, occupied a seat at the platform. Correspondence from the Dominion Bowling Association stated that the annual meeting would be heJd in Christchurch on September 13. The annual report and balance-sheet, a summary of which has already been published were adopted.

OfficiaJs for the ensuing year were elected as follow: —President, Mr. Jas. Pascoe; vice-president. Mr. S. Coldirutt: secretary, Mr. Geo. L. Gladding; treasurer. Mr. A. H. Yeoman; committee, Messrs. H. C. Clarke; G. Reid. P. J. Scantlebury. J. M. Thomson, A. C. Tonkin. A. Whitten and E. Wright; auditor. Mr. F. E. Mason.

The chairman stated that Mr. A. B. Barter had been unanimously appointed as the Southern Country Clubs' representative. A motion expressing the thanks of the centre to ex-members of the executive. Messrs. C. Garrard and A. Parsons for their past services, was carried. Messrs. J. M. Thomson and Geo. L. Gladding were nominated as representatives to the Dominion Council.

The Dominion Road Club delegates brought forward a suggestion that the conditions whereby clubs could enter teams for the pennant competition should be amended in such a way that a greater number of club's players could participate therein. This was followed by a lengthy discussion as the chairman particularly asked for a full expression of viewg to enable the executive to give effect to the general wish.

Mr. P. J. Scantlebury (Auckland) said he was entirely in favour of the present system. It was impossible to satisfy every requirement of every player, no "matter what system was adopted. Mr. Mcßobie (Remuera) said his club was nyre concerned in giving members a game than in winning the competition, and for this reason intended to ask permission to increase its quota during the coming season.

Ultimately a motion by Mr. Seantlebury was carried that the executive should adopt the present system for next season's matches.

A motion by Mr. Mcßobie that the maximum number of a club's quota in pennant matches should be eight, wag lost, and the number was left to the incoming executive to decide.
