Mr. A. Parker, of West Mailing, England, is at the Hotel Cargen. Mr. J. McKintey, of Wellington, is at :he Albert Hotel. Mr. R. Champtaloup, service officer of the Auckland Automobile Association, returned to Auckland this morning after a fortnight's motoring over all parts of the North Island. Commercial Hotel guests include Mr. and Mrs. A. K. McDonald (Hamilton), and Mr. G. Howard (Invercargill). The Mayor of Auckland, Mr. G. Baildon, the town clerk, Mr. J. S. Brigham, and the city solicitor, Mr. J. Stanton, will leave for Wellington to-morrow evening on City Council business. Guests at the Central Hotel include Mr. T. Campbell (Rotorua), Mr. J. Bain (Dunedin), Mr. B. Keys (Te Puke), Mr. and Mrs. J. K. Campbell (London), Mr. T. H. Davies, Mr. F. C. Evans, Mr. R. W. Uren, Mr. F. Cattell (Wellington). Among the passengers who arrived by the Remuera yesterday was Mr. J. K. Campbell, who from 1889 to 11>25 was attached to the staff of the High Commissioner for New Zealand in London. Among those at the Star Hotel are Mr. M. W. Young and Mr. R. Duncan (Dunedin), Mr. and Mrs. A. Mallinson, -Mr F. C. Allen, and Mr. R. R. Allen (Wellington). Dr. and Mrs. W. Hislop, of Wellington, returned by the Remuera yesterday after an eighteen months' tour of England. They left for the South by last night's train. Staying at the Grand Hotel are Mr. C. E. Robertson (Wellington), Mr. J. McDonald (Sydney), Mr. L. A. Brooks (Wellington), Mr. F. Boyle (Sydney), Mr. S. J. Millar (Melbourne), and Mr. G. Little (Wellington). After an absence of a year, the Rev. F. Harty, An,, 1 can vicar at Frankton Junction, returned to Auckland by the Remuera. While in England he lectured and wrote on the New Zealand measure, the Companies' Empowering Act, which opened the way for profit-sharing in industry. For six months Mr. Harty occupied a charge in a parish in the East End of Loudon.
