MAORI CHIEF DEAD.
XEPHEW OF JOHX TIKAO. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The chief Hone Tikao died at Rapaki, aged 77 years. He was a nephew of John Tikao, who signed the transfer of Canterbury lands to the British.
