DESTITUTE WAR HERO.
HELP FROM PATRIOTIC FUXD. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. On hearing of the case of the Mons veteran who was before the Supreme Court yesterday on a charge of theft of bottles, members of the Canterbury Patriotic Society immediately interested themselves in the man's circumstances and he was provided with his fare to Oamaru. It ia understood the society will keep in touch with him with a view to further assistance being given.
