FRUIT FROM THE ISLANDS.
WAIPAHI ! S NEXT SHiPMENT. I BETTER SUPPLY EXPECTED. ' The new fruit carrying steamer the Waipahi, which is expected iu Auckland about Tuesday week, is likely to bring a much larger cargo than on her initial trip. It will be remembered that the results of the vessel's maiden voyage •with fruit were very disappointing, owing to the refusal of native growers to ship their produce at the prices oSered them by Auckland merchants. Apparently the bargaining position has improved for information has been received in Auckland that at least doublt the quantity of the first shipment is expected.
