Mrs. Grey will join her daughter shortly. •' » * « Mrs. Nellie £. Ferner made an appeal on Wednesday for more assistance for the children's playgrounds in Auckland, when introducing Mrs. Willoughby Rodman, at a reception at the Civic Club. Mrs. Rodman was director of recreation in Los Angeles for 17 years. It is on the playgrounds, said both speakers, that it is determined what kind of citizen in the future the child of to-day shall become, and for this reason it was so necessary to have trained play leaders in charge of the grounds.
