STRUGGLE ON SHIP.
JUDGE FRAZER INVOLVED. STEWARD IH DIFFICULTIES, CRY OF "MURDER!" HKARD.

Mr. Justice Frazor, president of the Arbitration Court, had an adventure on the steamer Wahine on the voyage from Wellington on Tuesday night. A steward was attempting to restrain a passenger whom he suspeet.-d of designs to plungr overboard and wa> being sadly worsted in the fight. The Judge, wakeful in hie cabin had heard sounds oj a distant struggle and when he heard a cry of "Murder!" he jumped from hi*, bunk and rushed to the scone, arriving just in time to save the steward from serious injury. The Judge pulleil the steward's assailant away, but the man still fought furiously. Fair words nud persuasion failed to pacify him and eventually the Judge agreed with the steward that sterner measures were necessary. These were effective, and the man was thrown and held until help arrived. j
