SUPPLIES FOR MAY. THREE YEARS COMPARED. This has led to the expression ot an opinion in epnie quarters that in; trade is improving, but the fact in that the shipments, though at the moment in excees of supplies, are actually a long way below what was formerly considered as normal trade. Trade is still described by merchants as being exceedingly dull.
