At the Magistrate's Court nerved decision \vp« given in a <u*e in which Mr. and Mrs. Darnell, late li.en-ees of the Royal Hotel, Raglan, wore charged with a breach of the Licensing Act in supplying liquor with a meal on Sunday. For the defence, Mr. Northcroft quoted the law to support his contention that no offence Mas disclosed, and asked, if a fine was to I><> imposed it would lie heavy enough to allow of an appeal. Mr. Platts agreed to this pugge.-tion.
