IMMIGRATION RESTRICTION.
PERIOD OF SIX MONTHS. EXTENSION ANNOUNCED* (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Prime Minister stated yesterday that Cabinet had decided to extend the period of restriction of immigrants from four to six months, the period of restriction now "being from May to October. This would give further time for'the absorption of unemployed.
