G.O.C. BUSES.
LICENSES MUST OBTAINED
Twenty-four applications tag< lm ß licenses were recently sent to the T£ws Clerk of the Auckland City. Council by the Mount Edeu Motor Bus Oimpany in wspect to G.O.C. buses. The applications were not accompanied by the customary prescribed fee of 10/ each or by the Inspecting engineer's certificate, and were returned to ]the applicant company. The company replied that the delay in getting licensee had been due to the fact that they were waiting for the decision of the Court in connection with a recent test case to ascertain whether the council would : . take-over "the buses. On the instruction' of. the Public Works Engineer certain alterations, had been made to the buses, but there were still some conditions to. be complied -with. Mr. J. A. C.
