CAR PLUNGES OVER BANK.
DRIVER DIES OF INJITBXEB. ACCIDENT IN FAR NORTH. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.) WHANGAROA, Tuesday. A five-seater car, driven by Mr. Julian Shepherd, of Whangaroa, and containing two passengers, was turning a bend in the road between Kaeo and Whangaroa, when it encountered' a lorry driven by Mr. Seott, of Kaeo. The car was about to pass the lorry when it ran off the road and fell down a 14ft bank, turning over and landing on its wheels. Mr. Shepherd, who suffered severe ke*d and body injuries, did not recover consciousness and died afteri admission to the Whangaroa Hospital. Mr. William Moselem, of Whangaroa, •ustained head injuries, but soon recovered consciousness, and is now in ted at his home.
, The third occupant of the car, a lady doctor, received a severe shock.
