GREATER DEMAND ABROAD.

FIVE TEARS' CONTRACT LET. STUDIO IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Owing to the increasing demand for New Zealand -films abroad, this branch has become an important item of the Government Publicity Office's work. A five years' contract has been let and a special laboratory, studio, drying rooms, etc., will be erected on an acre of ground at Miramar. The actual taking of the films will still be done by Government camera men during the tourist season. Daily screenings will be shown for the benefit of visitors in a projection-theatre on Lambton Quay.
