HIS TRAGIC LIFE. BERLIN, May 12. Otto Stcpliari, an ex-Belgian officer, and an illegitimate son of the late King Leopold of Belgium (father of King Albert) and the Baroness de Vaugkan, has been sentenced to one month's imprisonment for obtaining money by false pretences. Stephen was released immediately, as he had been detained more than a month awaiting his trial. Defendant won leniency from the Court through the pleading of his woman lawyer, Frau Hegenmann Springer, who gave a movinsr picture of the tragic background of Stephana upbringing.
