CANADA'S IMMIGRATION.
Canadian officials are well pleased with the latest results of their immigration policy, and particularly in regard to the movement in relation to their American neighbours. The latest report issued by the Immigration Office at Ottawa says:— Immigration to Canada for February amounted to 5521, compared with 4396 for February a year ago. Of February's immigrants 1180 were from Great Britain, 838 from United States, and 3403 from other countries. The total immigration for eleven months of the fiscal year amounted to 123,720, compared with 80,835 a year ago, an increase of 53 per cent. During eleven months of the fiscal year 53,295 Canadians who had gone to the United States to live, returned to Canada, declaring their intention of now remaining permanently in that country. In February the number of such returned Canadians was 2397.
