PIGEON FLYING.

MANUNUI CLUB. The Maniinul Homing Pigeon Club continued its young bird programme on Saturday 14th, from Levin, in good weather. Mr. D. Wilson was unfortunate in bis clock being started before his ring was placed in it. The race resulted:— - Mr. Patterson's Appellant, 1206.8 yds per mln l Mr. D. Andrew's Riverboat, 1188.G ... 2 Mr. J. Whittaker's Reremoana, 1175 .. 3 The race was for a gold medal presented by Mr. R. Smith, M.P. The club also flew its last race north in the young bird series from Newmarket on Saturday. After a very close finish Mr. T. Williams' Betty proved the winner and he becomes the holder of Mr. Flfield's trophy. Details are as follow:— Mr. T. Williams' Betty, 1072.2 yds per min l Mr. R. Patterson's Sunny Mac, 1071.9 2 Mr. G.
