OUR CRICKETERS.
(By SINE AD.) Our cricketers ]iavo made a show, as Sinbad prophesied they would, and now the English people know it Maoriland is any pood. The stalwarts of the M.C.C. proved pretty nifty with the bat, for Titcllmarsh, 'it appears to me. must wear a mascot in his hat. Could N.Z. pass so high a score, the people asked. Too right it could, for Dacre made our total soar as nobly he laid on the wood. ■The English bowling though not bad he pounded, massacred, nay, minced, and Philtp Trevor, canny lad, at last appears to be convinced. We'll all be happy if N.Z. can carry on as well as this, but I can picture woe ahead if catches in the Held thev miss.
