TRUNK MYSTERY.
Dismembered Body in Left i Luggage. POUND AT CHARING CROSS. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, May 10. When a trunk, which had been for a time deposited at Charing Cross Station was opened this morning it was found to contain the decomposed body cif a woman. Scotland Yard is of opinion that it is obviously a case of murder, recalling the JMahon case. The body is completely dismembered, toome of the limbs obviously having been torn from the trunk. Each part is carefully wrapped in brown paper and identification will be most difficult, but detectives hope for some help from the discovery of the woman's handbag be■eath the remains. None of the employees is able to frecall who deposited the trunk three Weeks ago. Detectives held the opinion that the murder may have been committed some weeks before then. The body was removed to Westminster •mortuary for pathological examination, jmeanwhile Scotland Yard is searching the lists of missing women in the hope of finding a clue.—(A. and N.Z. and Sydney *Sun.")
