AUCKLAND PRESBYTERY.
The ordinary meeting of the Preeby*F£ Ck^ d wae held ,as * night in 3 *2 d \ *****b> w *en there was a good attendance of ministers and elders. The Rev. J. A. Thomson was moderator. Reference was made to the death of Mr W. Sturges, an old elder of the Presbyterian Church, and a motion of sympathy was passed with the relatives of the deceased, members of the Presbytery standing in silence a few moments. Sunday School Examinations. The Rev. W. H. Roseveare announced that the Sunday School examinations would be held on June 18. Up to the present there had been 480 entries for Scripture examinations, 475 for memory, and 75 for essays. There had not been any entries so far from some of the principal schools in Auckland. Ellerslie. The Rev. D. C. Herron notified that the Supply and Appointments Committee had selected the Rev. Sydney F. Hill, of Tapanui, for the Ellerslie charge, rendered vacant by the resignation of the Rev. G. W. Blair. This was approved by the Presbytery..
