WHAKATANE CLUB RESUETTS. "^
The sixteenth annual meeting of the Whakatane District Sheep Dog Trial Club' was concluded yesterday at the Puketi Racecourse, Taneatua. The meeting lasted three days. There was a very large sum-, ber of entries in all events. Mr. K. AT Mead, of Cape Kunaway, was the judge. , ? and his decisions gave every satisfaction." Kesnlts of the trials are as I ollow : —

For novice with maiden dog scoring ninst points in Class 1: This was rnn in conjunction with Class 1. C. Duncan's Don, •42 points, 1; ». Mitchell's Eongh, 40. 2.
Head, pull, drive, yard (possible poists 60) : There were 22 entries. G. Butler's Chum, 52 points, 1; A. Alder's Jock. 49, 2; J. McKenzie's Joe, 48. 3; C. McKenzie's Guy, 47 J, 4; G. Mitchell's Blaze, 47,
Huntaway Zig-zag (possible points 45): There were IS entries. G. Jernun'B Scott, 43 points. 1; B. Mitchell's Toss, 40, 2; A. Ahler's Floss, 37, 3; J. McKenzie's Joe, 35, 4.
Mr. J. M. Breingan's Hnntaway Cup was won outright by G. Jerram, he having secured it two years in succession. The Bergman Cup for the local dog securing: most points in Class 2 (bead, poll, drive,] yard), was won by Mr. A tier's Jock. Under] ihe auspices of the club an enjoyable danoti took place in the Taneatua Hall on Thurs-i day evening. The music was given by Hi* Gaiety Orchestra, of Taneatua.
