ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES.

THIS MORNING'S WORK. There ■was a fair amount of work at Ellerslie this morning. The weather was fine and the tracks in good order. The course proper outside two trestles was available for fast work, and No. 3 grass track was also open. The Course Proper. Little Marble and Mountain Guide ran half a mile in sos, and Wyoming finished in front of Michael over a similar distance in 535. Day Bell appeared to be going a little better than Lomint over a round, which occupied 2.3 1-5. Lady Robinson went a round, but was not hurried, for she took 1.40 to run the last seven furlongs of her work. No. 3 Grass Track. Before breakfast Archibald covered six furlongs in 1.23, going nicely all the way, and Charlady, who started off slowly from the six furlongs post, ran the last five furlongs in 1.9 1-5, going freely. After Breakfast. Judge's Box sprinted four furlongs in 55 4-ss. Rahepoto was ahead of King of the Air over a round in 1.45 1-5. The Crier and Gold Fern were given a run over half a mile which they covered in 545. There was little between them at the finish. Creation covered four furlongs in similar time. Cawnpore, Chamour and Killute were bunched at the finish of a six furlong sprint in 1.22. They were not ridden out. Star Comet was in front of Thursby at the finish of half a mile in 51 2-ss. The Jumpers. Kamehameha (Williams) went over six schooling hurdles and jumped fairlv well. Royal Present (Olive) and Tall Timber (E. Garrett) were sent over a couple of pony hurdles, and then tried over two of the larger ones twice. There was a fair amount of pace, and both performed well. Karamu (Olive) jumped a couple of hurdles well and afterwards sprinted on No. 3 grass track, running the last five furlongs of his work in 1.9. Simplicitus (Sharkey) and Clockwork (Olive) were sent over a couple of pony hurdles, and afterwards jumped two of the larger hurdles, performing safely.
