FELL FROM BRIDGE.
HORSE AND ITS RIDER. YOUTH FOUND DEAD. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) RAETIHI,* this day. Raymond Leslie West, aged Iβ, employed by Mr. P. CNeil, a farmer, at Murumuru, was found dead in a gully yesterday afternoon. He had been sledging firewood during the earlier part of the day, and he was missed at dinner time. Mr. Craik, manager of the farm, made a search, and found the body of the youth pinned underneath a horse at the bottom of a gully, about 30ft deep. There was a small bridge over the gully, and ft is surmised that West was riding the horse while sledging, and that both fell from the bridge. His head was in about a foot of water, and there were two wounde on it. Life was extinct. The district coroner returned a verdict of accidental death.
