PORT REVENUE.
Arr.lL PROVES GOOD MCITTH. r.ORTHUMBERLAND SWELLS RECEIPTS. "The cash receipts under revenue headings for April, 1027, amounted to £39,583," reported Mr. Charles F. Garratt, treasurer to the Auckland Harbour Board, this afternoon. "This shows an increase of £7587 upon the figures of March, 1926, which is partly due to the visit to the port of the disabled s.s. Northumberland. The seven monthly comparison at April 30, 1927, and 1926. shows an increase of £10,640 for the 1927 period." The main increases in the seven-month period were:— Shipping charges £3010. Goods, -wharfage £27*82. Dock dues £2v>f>7. Miscellaneous £2.">°3 Crane dues £i3ih; The only important decrease was a drop of £2468 in storage charges on goods. Manukau Harbour receipts in April were £801, being an increase of £223 on the figures for the same month last year.
