I lie following is an exti'att from the report, winch was submitted to the meeting ot the board yesterday: — The weather during last qiinrter had been unusual, in that there had been practically no rain during the period. I'rom the liarvestcis" point of view this was excellent, as many of the crops never pot a shower from rutting to thrcshinjr. On the other hand, prass and feed simply dried up and the ground was so hard that Pouring and cultivating wore very difficult, teed prospects for winter were very gloomy. Turnips wee practically ;l tailure mangels very poor and grass paddocks as already indicated, had no rough feed on them. The autumn sowings of oats and Italian ryegrass for green feed had made no headway at all. and would not grow till they got rain. On the whole stock had done well, and at tho present time were in excellent condition.
