PROVINCIAL FIRE BRIGADES.
DEMONSTRATION AT WAIHI. VISITORS WELCOMED. .(Ry Telcsrnpli.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The Auckland Provincial Fire Brigades' Association demonstration opened on the Recreation Reserve this morning. A civic reception was tendered the visiting firemen at tlie Seddon Memoriul last evening by the Mayor, Mr. Wullnutt. who mentioned that this was the first demonstration held locally since 1010, when the Waihi brigade won the shield outright. Captain Watts, president, Mr. Gilbert, superintendent. Mr. Garrett, and other officials responded, on behalf of the visitors. Thirty teams are taking part in the seven events.
