SHOOTING SEASON.
OPENING ON A MONDAY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The shooting season will open this year on Monday. May 2. The usual opening date is May 1. but by legislation shooting on the first day of the season, if it happens to be a Sunday, is not allowed, although it is permitted on all Sundays during the season. The regulation does not allow shooting to take place earlier than one hour before sunrise or later than one hour after sunset.
