IN A CHINESE SHOP.
DISTURBANCE CREATED
MAX RESISTS POLICEMAN
Observing a man creating a disturbance in a Chinese shop on Thursday evening. Constable Magner entered and arrested the disturber of the peace. He was John Joseph Morris (31). who appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M., at the Police Court this morning for drunkenness in Victoria Street and also with having resisted the constable while in the execution of his duty.
"Accused resisted violently and also used some unparliamentary language. He has been up here before," said Senior Sergeant Edwards. "Oh, has he," said the magistrate. "He is fined £1, or three days, on the fir-t charge and £2 or seven days' imprisonment on the second."
