ON 'CHANGE

The Exchange closed after the noon call to-day for the Easter Vacation. It will be longer than usual before the calls are resumed, as Monday, April 26, being Anzac Day and a compulsory holiday, the brokers will not meet again until the morning of Tuesday, 26th inst. The market closed a little better today. Buyers of 4Vs per cent War Loans advanced their offers to £96 10/, and for Harbour Board 0 per cent debentures, £102 10/ was the buying rate. All the 5Vj per cent loans could be placed at £101, and Soliders' Loan changed hands at £101 5' at the thirrt call yesterday. New South Wales Bank shares sold this morning at £50, and National Mortgage at 65/6. Sales occurred of New Zealand Breweries debentures at 24/. and of Sanford, Ltd. ordinary shares at 22/. Lucky Shot shares showed improvement this morning, 2/4 being paid for the contributing, and an extra fourpence for the paid issue.
