JUDGMENT IN DAMAGES CLAIM. COMPANY'S PAYMENT UPHELD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORNE, this day. At the Supreme Court yesterday, the judgment of Mr. Justice Ostler in the case of John McKay v. the Union Steamship Company Mas delivered. McKay claimed £2615 as damages on account of injuries received while unloading the steamer Katno. PlaintilT was awarded the amount paid into Court, £700, which, with the addition of sums previously paid made a total of £1000. Costs were allowed against the plaintiff.
