DOMINION'S TRADE ABROAD.
INCREASE OF FACILITIES
GOVERNMENT HAS A PLAN,

W ELLINGTON", Tuesday
Speaking yesterday at the annual meeting of tlie Wellington Chamber of Commerce, the Prime Minister said the Government hoped shortly to be able to ask the Chamber of Commerce to meet and discuss certain very important proposals which the Government would place before them, in an endeavour to increase trade facilities, not only between the component parts of the Empire, but with other countries.
The paramount feelinp throughout the Empire was to keep trade within the family. There was no need to be pessimistic over the fact that at present the balance of trade was adverse in the case of the Dominion and, in a greater degree, in Great Britain.
