The present Mayor, Mr. C. A. Deuxberry and Mr. A. E. Greenslade, a former Mayor. Fifteen candidates were nominated for the council: —They are Chas. Bunker. E. W. B. Herrick, A. J. Lennon, Fred L. Harry Weaver and Frank Wilson. ST. HELIER'S. At a combined meeting oi i,u- 11aupayers and Transport Committee, the following nominations for the Load Hoard election were received: Messrs. Cotterill Bradley, L. S. Bradley, Moir- \\ ilson, Todd Smith. Many of those present were net in favour of an election, but desired the present Road Members to retain their seats owing to negotiations which are now proceeding as to the advisability of joining the City.
