WOMEN ACCOSTED AT NIGHT.
INCIDENTS IN WELLINGTON. YOUTH DETERRED BY SCREAMS. (By Telegraph.—Own Currospomlent.) WELLINGTON, Monday. On two occasions recently, women on their way home from the city, have been molested by a youth or a nuiti dressed in youth's clothes. On the first occasion a young woman was going along Wellington Terrace about 9 p.m. when the youth appeared suddenly from behind a lamp post and caught hold of her. She screamed and her assailant bolted. A little later a young woman was walking up one of the Mights of stops leading to the Terrace when she was overtaken by someone answering the description of the person concerned in the previous a Hair. He caught hold of her, hut her screams resulted in several nearby windows being thrown up and the man made off. This lady \»as confined to her home for some time suffering from shock.
