Motion for Royal Commission Defeated. MR. LANGS DENIAL. (Received 12 noon.i SYDNEY, this day. In the Legislative Assembly. Mr. Ball moved that the allegations contained in the Australian Labour party manifesto of a Communistic plot to secure control of the party warranted investigation bv a Roval Commission.

The motion was defeated by three votes to six. the members of the Nationalist party being absent.

Mr. J. T. Lang, the Premier, in a statement, said he knew that the allegations were untrue, and as far as Mr. Willis, vice-president of the Legislathe Council, who was alleged to be implicated in the {dot, was concerned, he knew that gentleman was not i:i any Communistic plot.
