BOY DIES OF HIS INJURIES

INQUEST OPENED. (Bj Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHUECH, this da v. The death occurred in the Christchurch Hospital on Tuesday night of David Noel Nelson, aged 11 years, who was injured by being knocked down by a motor car at the c-orner of Selwyn Street and Lincoln Koad at 7 p.m. on Sunday. An inquest was opened before Mr. La wry. the coroner. Evidence of identification was given by the boy's father, Tom Nelson, of .">O4, Selwyn Street, a labourer. He said that he had last seen the boy before the accident at about <i.4"> p.m. He had suggested a walk, and went into the house to get his hat. When he came out he found that the boy had been hurt. He did not see the accident happen.

The inquest was adjourned to allow the police to make further investigation-. c
