WEDDINGS.

The weeding took place at the Methodist Church, Thames, on Tuesday, February 15, of Edna Radford, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Buchan, of Queen Street, Thames, to Geo. Frederick, eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. R. Twentyman, Pollen Street, Thames. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. W. A. Burley. The service was fully choral, and the church was daintily decorated in pink and white. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore white georgette and silver lace over a white silk underskirt, with the usual veil and orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and maidenhair fern, relieved with pale pink. Miss Beryl Buchan. sister pi the bride, was maid, of honour, in pale green crepe de chine and georgette, black hat, and she carried a pink and green bouquet. The duties of best man were carried out by ilr. R. Twentyman, brother of the bridegroom. Miss Twentyman officiated at the organ. After the cermony the party proceeded to the Methodist Hall. Mackav Street, where they were received by Mr. and Mrs. Buchan; and the wedding breakfast was partaken of by about 70 guests, , .

The marriage of Dr. Walton H. Bremner, of Dunedin, and Dr. Gladys M. Maealister, of Invercargill, graduates of Otago University, took place on Saturday, December IS, at St. Columba'a Church of Scotland, the Rev. Dr. Archibald Fleming officiating (writer our London correspondent). The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple picture gown of rich ivory panne, lined with blush pink and exquisitely embroidered with pearls and diamante, a trail of orange blossoms falling down the left side. The long train of the same material, was lined with pink chiffon, and edged with silver, and had pearl embroideries, long pearl tasseU hanging from the shoulders by silver cords. Her voluminous veil of beautiful old Honiton lace was secured by a coronet of pearls and diamante, and fell softly to her feet on both sides; she carried a bouquet of beautiful blush-pink roses, lily of the valley, and white heather. The Misses Irene and Sheila Baxter were the two little train-bearers, and wore frocks of apricot-coloured satin, with rows of ruching round the skirt and dotted with rosebuds. Their caps were of gold lace, with tiny rosebuds over the ears, and their slippers were gold, with ribbons to match. Victorian posies of gold j ranunculi completed their dainty toilettes. The bridesmaids were Dr. Cora Stenhouse, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Stenhouse, of Balclutha. and Miss Barbara Scott, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Addison Scott, of London. Their dresses were picture frocks of apricot-coloured satin, and their bouquets were of apricot single chrysanthemums, with streamers of apricot and gold. They wore coronets of velvet leaves toning with their frocks and edged with gold, with gold rosettes over their ears. Dr. Ball, of Sydney, Australia, was best man. The service was choral, and the church was artislically decorated with tall palms, white lilac, white hydrangea, and white chrysanthemums. A brilliant sun—a record sun for London —lent its beauty to the impressive scene. The reception was held at Lancaster Gate Hotel, Hyde Park, where a party of 60 sat down to the wedding breakfast. Among the guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Caws, Dr. and Mrs. McCaw, Miss Gladys Petrie, of Invercargill, Miss Moyra Todd, of Dunedin, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell-Heard, of Wellington. Mr. A. W. Bethune, of Rotorua. Mrs. Fitzsimmons, of Napier, Dr. and Mrs. Stenhouse, of Balclutha, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Campbell, late of Invercargill, and Dr. S. Parker, late of Invercargill. There was a strong gathering of fellowgraduates from Otago University, among | them being Dr. J. K, Davidson, Dr. O.

Moller, Dr. N. Matheson, Dr. Mason, Dr. J. Fitzsimmons, Dr. C. Reid, Dr. C. Marshall, Dr. J. Landreth, Dr. D. G. Robb, Dr. J. Young, Dr. Alice Rose, Dr. Kathleen Todd, and Dr. T. Bakewell. Many English and Scottish friends were also present.
