LIVE STOCK VALUES.

WAIKATO MARKET REPORT. SHEEP AND LAMBS HARDEN. The Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company report as follow:— Beef.—There is no improvement in the market, with plenty of prime ox and cow and heifer beef offering, both in the markets and privately. Fat Sheep.—The markets show a tendency to harden both for ewe and wether mutton. Fat lambs are also meeting with competition in the markets at prices slightly better than export prices. Store Sheep.—We have held several sheep fairs this month, with a "rood demand for all classes, especially young breeding ewes, which are meeting with strong competition. Prices in most cases are not quite equal to last season. Rams.—There was a strong demand at the fair for Southdowns, a fair demand for Shropshires, English, and Border Leicesters, and with the exception of a few extra good Romneys, this breed was very dull of sale. Store Cattle.—Very few store cattle have been yarded, most of the yardings consisting of fat, fresh conditioned, and store ewes. There is a good inquiry for choice Jersey cross in calf heifers. Figs.—Stores are easier, especially weaners. Baconers and porkers are still making about sYid lb. Horses.—The market is still very quiet.
