A SPEECH BROADCASTED.
ADDRESS BY MR. COATES. Last evening the Prime Minister. Mr. Coatcs, addressed a large audienec through the niediuni of IYA radio station. Listeners-in as far as New Plymouth were able to hear the speaker quite plainly. Mr. Coated spoke of the highly satisfactory work of the Imperial Conference, and the importance of inler-colo-nial trade, emphasising the fact that it is on the prosperity of Great Britain and her purchasing power as a customer that our own prosperity depends:. In connection with Dominion affairs, Mr. Coates declared that the Government was giving its closest attention to our difficulties. The unemployment position, ho said, had been examined, and the Government had found a satisfactory solution.
