ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

AUCKLAND MANAGEMENT. SATURDAYS REP. GAME. A meeting of the Management Committee of the Auckland Football Association was held last evening, Mr. A. Menzies presiding. Mr. J. M. Downie stated that Mr. Ball, chairman of the Heferees" Ai-socaation meeting last Saturday, had refused to accept nominations for the Management Committee from other than members of the Keferees' Association. A letter was received from the Junior Management Committee asking for certain changes in the constitution. h was decided to bring these forward at the annual general meeting in March. Mr. J. Low, referee, and Messrs. Tuttle and Parkinson, linesmen, were appointed to officiate at the game between H.M.s. Renown and Auckland representatives on Saturday Lieutenant Fothergill, H.M.S. Diomede, wrote thanking the Association for arranging a match between the New Zealand Nary and H.M.s. Renown, to take place on Monday next, and also for the invitation received fo r officers and their wives. He also stated that the final navy trial match would take place on Thursday, after which the names of the team to represent the New Zealand Navy would be available.
