OTAHUHU TROTS.

THE SUMMER MEETING, j '. i - TOMORROWS PROGRAMME. : j The summer meeting of the Otalnihu ; 'rotting Club, which opened on Satur- J ay, will be brought to a close at . Ipsom to-morrow, and with big fields ! lilled to contest every event, the rac- j - tig can be guaranteed up to standard, < chile the problems set backers to find | he winners is as difficult as ever. ; j The Suburban. !! The usual batch of moderate straight- '; nit trotters will open the bill of fare in i he Suburban Handicap, which, instead j' if being one mile and a half, is this j j ime two miles. This should give' the li backmarkers a better chance. The inly one on the limit is Cool King, and ie can have no chance, while the prospects of those on 12yds or 24yds are iot bright. Tui Bells. 30yds, and • Direct Action and Floraline on 48yds, ire possibilities. At Te Aroha Floraline gave Sean Triubhais a start and a iropcr beating over two miles, and on I hat run Floraline cannot be passed ! over. Now Sean Triubhais has to give ! Floraline 24yds, which reads good for Floraline if the book works out correct, but very often it doesn't. Roma Dingcii is too erratic to back, but l'etroleuse I lias only to repeat her run of Saturday i to be hardest to dispose of. Of the ' Dthcrs Anseline, 120 yds, is a long way back, but lie is fairly good. It should i be an interesting race with Floraline, I. Petrolense and Direct Action getting j good support. i A Big Field. In the Newmarket Handicap 22 have made the acceptance. I'ast records show that the odds are about to one on the winner coming from the | limit division in this class of race, and i for that reason it may lie well to keep j to the front ender>. Gold Dial, who ! finished well in fourth place on Siitur- i day, began from the second row, and if | she draws the front row to-morrow she must have a chance. Master Huia went a fair race on Saturday, and so did Manna, but the' latter drew the rails in I the front row. which would help her ' considerably. Horizon was doing well at the end after covering a lot of gronii-1 in the early stages. Tnipan , , who won j off the fronr, is now on 4Syds, which | will not Tniiko his task an easy one, I although lie wm very easily on Satur- ! day. Aguie Bell and Uramic, both on ! 12yds, might do better in the smaller j field. On Saturday's run Cold Dial. Master Huia, and Uramic should find ; favour. ! The Sprint. ] A useful lot of horses capable of going l a mile in 2.18 or better will contest j the Sylvia Park Handicap. Marionette, j a winner at Whangarei, should go well ! off the front, and others on the same j mark who can stop a fair eight furlongs are Goldfinch, Jean Darling. Logan Rothschild, and Key Logan. If 1 the last-named goes away right he ! should show up. Anything handicapped i behind the-limit will have to keep mov- j ing , to have a chance. When the | machine closes Marionette, Rev Logan and Logan Rothschild may be best supported. The Big Race. The field for the Domiuion Handicap «iil l>e practically the same'as in the Cup on Saturday. The Cup winner, Sea Pearl, is now on 00yds, and she should not be able to concede that start to Concliffe, or 30yds to Cardinal Logan. On the- run in the Cup backers will prefer the jir-j.-poct> <■; < :■ il Logan | and Concliffe, while Kohara may go better than in the Cup. The Trotters. The Alexandra Handicap, for straightout trotters, should be one of the best races of the afternoon. Xjiatira dropped his supporters on Saturday, when he failed to get in the money, but he should improve on that run to-morrow. Sister Beatrice is a good sort to be on the front, and of the backmarkers Pete Peter should be best. Tt is an open race, but when backers get to work they may prefer Ngatira, Ingle Bingen and Pete Peter. The Speedy Ones. In the Coates' Handicap, one mile, and a-quarter, all the best sprinters at the meeting with the exception of Great Bingen are engaged. If Concliffe starts he will be the favourite, but in his absence the chances aro backers will confine themselves to Talent, Bessie Logan, and Lady Dunmore. The Farewell. The meeting clo: .> with the I'arcwcu Handicap, and though Luvau failed on Saturday she will be well supported again. Rev Logan, Bingen Starr, Aniaris, and Nelson Tasker are goo<i sorts, but much will depend on the form shown earlier in the day hy tho.o with double engagements. The favourite iy be Nelson Tasker, with !■; •«■ Logan and Luran well supported. The first race will start about 11.1.1 a.m. The following are the acceptances:— SUBURBAN HANDICAP nf COOsovs. Limit 0.-\ Two miles. Cool King Lt.
