MEN REAFFIRM DECISION. ATTENDANT FOR, FAN DEMANDED. DANGER FROM GAS FEARED. (By Telegrapa.—Press Association.) UREYMOUTH, Monday. The Miners' Union, at a largely ttended meeting this evening, reffirmed the decision of the men of the lewanui State colliery not to resume fork. The dispute arose in the Middle Brake eetion, because the miners lost an our's time through the failure of a entilating fan, and the management educted one hour's pay. The miners l the Xo. 1 section ut Rewanui ceased rork in sympathy with their fellow corkers in the Middle Brake area. There are 223 men engaged in this eetion, which, it was pointed out at o-night's meeting, is as gaseous as the )obson mine. The meeting further decided to denand that the fan at the Middle Brake eetion shall have an attendant for the uture in view of the danger.. To-morrow between 380 and 400 men rill be idle.
