TWO CHILDREN KNOCKED DOWN. ONE LEFT UNCONSCIOUS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCn, Monday. Throuph being knocked down by a motor car at the corner < f Ferry Road and Phillips Street, a 14 year-old girl named Bowen was admitted to the hospital suffering from shock. Her condition has since improved. An 11-year-old boy, David Noel Nelson, was knocked down by a motor car at the corner of Selwyn Street and Lincoln Road last evening. He was taken to the Christehurch Hospital, suffering from shock, and was unconscious. At a late hour this afternoon there was a slight improvement in his condition. CYCLE AND BUS COLLIDE. (By Telegraph.—Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. A young man, Thomas White, of Urenui, was admitted to hospital yestcrlay suffering from a compound fracture of the right leg as the result of a collision between a motor cycle, on which he was pillion riding, and a large passcnger bus at a sharp bend. . His brother, who ivas riding the cycle, escaped with bruises. BUS STRIKES A POLE. (By Telegrapu.—Own Ccrrespondent.) WELLINGTON, Monday. A Corporation bus, crowded with passengers, swerved violently while running into town about 8 o'clock this morning, ind ran to the kerb. It glanced back, but turned in again and collided violently with a telegraph pole. A boy was cut about the face, but bruises and fright were the worst lots ?f the other passengers. The bus was considerably damaged and had to be towed to tlic Kilbirnie sheds for repair. CYCLE OUT OF CONTROL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Early this morning a motor cycle ridlen by Mr. Frank Douglas, of Point Chevalier, who was returning to Auckland from Ngaruawahia, got out of control when descending the first of the series of hills on the southern side and crashed into a post at the bottom. Mr. Douglas was severely shaken and bruised, but his sister, who was in the side-chair, escaped with slight shock. The cycle was damaged extensively.
