The Waitemata Power Board now has a total of 3.70 l consumers i including 1820 consumer* in Devonport i. according to a return presented at today's meeting of the board. "The position is.'' said the chairman (Mr. J. \V. Haydeni "that wo are a year ahead of what we promised the people in regard to connections, although when the lward first commenced operations it <lid not anticipate the extensions we have had to make."* '"I travel round the country everv «"eek." *aid Mr. Hayden.
