■<By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. There passed away in her sleep at her residence, Roneston Street, Thames, early on Sunday morning, Mrs. R. K. Otter, a .well-known resident of Thames Although Mrs. Otter had been under the doctor's care..for. some time, her death was quite .unexpected. Mrs. Otter came of a very.old Thames family, her father, i the late Mr. Wnj. Murdoch,* being one of the fiistsettlers of that district.- He owned the/whole of the suburb known as Block 27, suVl was, for some years a member of the Thanies County Council. As a prominent member of\St. James' Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Otter was noted ■for - her open-bandedness in aid of anything in connection with the- Church, being a generous giver to all appeals of a deserving nature. At the time of her .death,.Mrs. .Otter was president of the. .Presbyterian Ladies' Guild, and also held o?ce in the Presbyterian Mission Uniou. She leaves a husband, two daughters— Cleaye and Sutcliffe—and two sons—Mr. Wilson.Otter, of Huntlv.and Master Kelvin Otter, of Thames to mourn their ldss. Mesdames G. G. Smith (kauaeranga) and R. Law (Thames) are sisters of the deceased. The late Mrs Otter had a wide circle of friends' throughout the Dominion, who will regret to hear of her sudden deinjse
