ROTORUA NOTES.

Mr. and Mrs. E. McKenzie and family have left for Mount Maunganui, where they will spend the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mis. J. Vicars and Mr. John Vicars, of Sydney, who have been on a holiday to Rotorua, have returned to Sydney. Miss Allen, Hinemoa Street, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Allen, Heme Bay. Mr. and Mrs. Atkinson, who have been on a visit to Rotorua, have left for Taupo, Napier, and Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Webster and family, Ranolf Street, have left on a visit to Frankton and Waihi. Mrs. Hutton, with Mr. Hutton, jun., of Parnell, are spending a holiday in Rotorua. , Mr. and Mrs. J. Herrold, Pukaki Street, are on a short visit to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Davys, Miss V. Davys, and Mrs. Sledge, Pukuatua Street, are spending a month in Remuera. Mr. and Mrs. W. W. P. Hall and Miss K. Hall, Amohau Street, have taken a house in Devonport for the summer holidays. Mr. S. Wallis, Miss I. Wallis, and Master R. Wallis have left on a trip to Nelson. Miss T. Wallace has returned from. Wbangarei. Mr. T. A. Hogg, manager of the Bank of Australasia in Rotorua, has been transferred to Hastings, and leaves for his new home early in the New Year, accompanied by Mrs. Hogg and family. Miss Anderson, Arawa House, is spending the holidays with her mother, Mrs. Anderson, Mount Eden. Mr. and Mrs. Harris and Miss M. Harris have returned from Takapuna, and are staying at Arawa House. Mr. and Mrs. Suttie and Miss Suttie, of Papatoetoe, are visiting Rotorua, and are guests at Prince's Gate. Miss D. Halkett, Pukuatua Street, has returned from Putaruru. At a meeting of the Rotorua Sunshine League, held on Friday afternoon, at St. Luke's Parish Hall, the chairman of the League, Mr. W. Hill, on behalf of the League, presented the secretary (Mrs. T. A. Hogg), who is leaving Rotorua shortly, with a parasol as a token of esteem and appreciation of her valuable Help to the League, and in a brief speech expressed regret at the departure of Mr. -and Mrs. Hogg, and wished them -all happiness and success in their new home. Recent arrivals at the Grind Hotel, Rotorua, include: Mr. R. V. Tait, Miss A. Tait (Sydney), Mr. W.Davey (Wellington), Mr. R. H. Baldwin, Commander and Mrs. Claud Graham-Watson (Auckland), Mir. E. I. The Queen is an ardent collector, and now Lady Mullens has had a special room in her home in Belgrave Square lacquered and decorated in Chinese style, most of the furniture having been specially brought over.
