WEDDINGS.

The wedding took place at the Chapel of King's College, Otabuhu, on Monday evening, of Miss Nancy Bell, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Bell, of "Raupaki,* Mount Eden, to Mr. Valentine F. Maxwell, elder son of Mrs. R. L. Griffiths, of Kemuera. The chapel •was decorated very simply with Christmas lilies. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dainty frock of delicate pink eilk georgette trimmed with silver lace. The long veil of pale pink was kept in place by a circlet of orange blossoms. Sne carried a bouquet of carnations and sweet pea in tones of pink, and maidenhair fern. Miss Phyllis Bell was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of mauve floral georgette with a mauve hat. Her bouquet was of mauve sweet peas and asparagus fern. Mr. Thomas N. Maxwwell acted as best man. After. the ceremony a reception was held at "Raupaki," where Mrs. Bell received her guests wearing navy and floral silk marocain and a navy hat. She carried a bouquet of cerise sweet peas and carnations. Mrs. Lyttelton Griffiths had on a frock of mauve souple satin trimmed with silver lace, and touches of Oriental trimming, and a hat of silver georgette. Her bouquet was of flowers in tones of deep rose. The wedding was of special interest, because the bridegrpom is- the first old King's boy to be married in the Chapel. is also a master of the school, and the headmaster, the Eev. Miss Tayler, Miss Gobdall, Miss Norm, Miss Drower, Miss Hawkins. The wedding of Miss Kathleen Johnston, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Johnston, of Rocky Downs, Matamata, and Mr. N. D. Wallace, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. McT. Wallace, of Te Aroha, took place at St. Andrew's Church, Matamata, on December 14. The church was prettily -decorated by the bride's girl friends and the bride entered the sacred precincts on the arm of her father. She wore a dress of cream georgette over satin, with silver braid.; Her veil of Limerick' lace:> was swathed round the head and fell in graceful folds to form a long- trail caught by streamers of silver: net flowers and orange blossoms. It was finished in a true lovers' knot in silver braid and pearls.' She carried a bouquet of white, and pink roses, carnations, sweet pets and sprays of maidenhair ftcm and itremen of cream satin rib-

The bridesmaids were Miss Ruby Eddowes, of Auckland, in delphinium blue, georgette with rainbow braiding and blue crinoline hat, and Miss Ella Johnston, sister of the bride, in a salmon georgette frock, with rainbow 'braiding and blue and salmon crinoline hat.
